KRIS DOOLAN admits fixing Partick Thistle's Firhill form will be key to a successful second season in the SPFL Premiership.

Alan Archibald's side finished 10th on their return to Scotland's top tier last time out but saw a significant number of points slip through their grasp on home soil.

It took until February for the Jags to claim a league win at Firhill and forward Doolan is determined to play his part in giving the home crowd something to cheer.

He said: "Our home form last year wasn't good enough, we know that and it's something we're working hard to improve on next season.

"I have to play my part in that, too, and will certainly be doing my best to get the ball over the line more often at Firhill.

"I love it here and the club has been a big part of my life. Obviously I've just signed a new contract so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon."
