Mark Davidson from East Kilbride asked:

"Was the size of the crowd against Hibs a reason to be concerned?"

Derek replied: "Not really. Rangers fans could not get into the game on their season tickets. It was also live on television.

"It was the third biggest cup competition the Ibrox club will be involved in this season. I did not think they would get many more, to be honest.

"Celtic played in a massive Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night, albeit at Murrayfield, and only got around 30,000 fans there.

"So the 18,000 who turned up for the Petrofac Training Cup game with Hibs was not entirely unexpected."
