KENNY MILLER insists Rangers will put their Hearts shock behind them as they look to get their Championship title challenge back on track.

Ally McCoist's side went down 2-1 to their promotion rivals at Ibrox on Sunday as their league campaign got off to the worst possible start.

Miller bemoaned a lack of cutting edge in the final third in the aftermath of a poor performance.

But the striker insists there is plenty more to come from the Gers as attentions turn to Friday night's fixture at Falkirk.

Miller said: "We're still full of confidence we're going to be where we want to come the end of the season. This result is just a wee knock in that regard.

"We've 35 games to go and it's important we don't get too caught up in the disappointment from how this one went.

"Yeah, we are disappointed because we want to go and win every game.

"You never want to lose at home.

"To lose in the manner we did was very disappointing but we've got four days to prepare for the next game.

"We want to pick ourselves back up so we'll get back into training and work hard to pick ourselves up for Friday night now."

Miller is one of a host of new faces boss McCoist is trying to integrate into his squad this season.

But the 34-year-old knows big improvements must be made quickly.

"It becomes a work in progress when you put a few new signings into a team and you're starting a new season," Miller told rangers.co.uk

"But we can't have any excuses because we haven't really been at the races in the first couple of games.

"This time it's maybe a little bit harsh because there were long periods of the game against Hearts where we did feel comfortable."
