BILEL MOHSNI reckons he is fighting fit ahead of Rangers' trip to Falkirk tonight.

The defender missed the Petrofac Training Cup victory over Hibernian last week and Sunday's Championship defeat to Hearts after being sent off in the pre-season friendly against Derby County.

It has not been a great start to the campaign for Mohsni, who had a mixed tour of North America as Ally McCoist's side struggled in their summer fixtures.

In his absence, Lee McCulloch, Darren McGregor and Marius Zaliukas have all appeared at centre-back for the Light Blues.

But with Richard Foster injured and boss McCoist in desperate need of a result, the 27-year-old could come back into the team to face the Bairns as Rangers look to get back on track tonight.

Mohsni said: "I've been doing extra runs with sport scientist Jim Henry which has helped.

"I've been able to get fitter and hopefully I can now go and show that is the case out on the pitch in matches.

"Of course, I would have preferred to have been playing lately but the fact I haven't been means I have been able to work more on my fitness.

"In pre-season, I lacked concentration at times. Maybe that is because I came back late, I don't know.

"I'm not looking for excuses though. I felt I needed to do extra work and I feel much better now so I am looking to do well if I get the chance to play."
