POLICE have cut the number of away fans allowed at Ibrox for the rest of the season due to alleged segregation issues during Rangers' clash with Hearts on the opening day of the Championship campaign.

The Jambos had 1700 supporters in the Govan West Corner at Ibrox but Queen of the South, who head to Glasgow on August 30, have been told that they will only receive 1000 tickets for the match.

A QoS statement confirmed the reduction had been put in place by Police Scotland due to 'problems in segregation' at the Gers' second home match of the season, a decision the club said was 'disappointing'.
