LOUIS MOULT has a Licence to thrill as he gears up for the next chapter of h is career at Motherwell.

The former Stoke striker became Ian Baraclough’s latest signing earlier this week when he put pen to paper on a three-deal that will see him lead the line in claret and amber.

However, as well as having a prolific streak in front of goal the 23-year-old’s attributes off the park are just as impressive.

Moult dropped out of full-time football two years ago when he joined Nuneaton Town and it forced him to think of a career away from playing football.

It led the forward to start coaching youngsters at his old club Stoke and it is something he has been keen to carry on ever since and continue during his spell at Fir Park.“I was coaching when I went part-time at Nuneaton,” said Moult. “I had a little panic where I thought ‘I need to get something behind for the future as well as now’.

“So I ended up approaching Stoke City to become a part-time coach. I did it on a Monday, Wednesday and a weekend whenever I could fit it around football. I worked with the young lads which was fantastic.

“I have just done my B Licence. I have passed but I’m just waiting to make a day up.

“It’s unusual for someone so young but I’m quite experienced as a person and I think football experiences and life experiences made me grow up really quickly. I think you’ll see that when I get playing.”

The Motherwell striker admits he has had an easy time of it settling in at Fir Park given the familiar faces in the Well dressing room.

Moult has previously gone up against team-mates Lionel Ainsworth and Marvin Johnson, while he also had a brief playing spell at Alfreton Town with full-back Josh Law.

"I know a couple of the lads but the whole squad have been very welcoming,” he said.

"It didn't take much to come and play in the Premiership. You can see it is an unbelievable set-up, the facilities are great and everyone is polite.

"The opportunity to play against big clubs like Celtic and Aberdeen was too good to turn down.”
