NADIR CIFTCI will today hammer out personal terms with Celtic after Dundee United yesterday raised the white flag in their bid to keep the Turkish striker.
The Parkhead club's third bid, understood to be at least £1.5m was finally accepted by the Tannadice club.
It came after United chairman Steven Thompson rebuffed two earlier offers of £900,00 and £1m.
But a third bid was enough for Celtic to get their man in a victory for player power.
That came after United had agreed a £1.5m deal for the player to go to Wigan.
But Ciftci's decision to snub a move to the English League One club kept him on Ronny Deila's transfer radar.
Ciftci, who has struck 33 goals in two seasons in Scotland following his arrival from Dutch outfit Breda, could be paraded today if an agreement is reached over personal terms.
The 23-year-old now joins a former Tangerine enclave at Celtic Park following the January transfer window arrivals of midfield pair Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong.
But he arrives at Celtic Park facing a possible lengthy ban at the start of the season.
He is due to answer a charge of "excessive misconduct" later this month after the SFA accused him of biting Dundee midfielder Jim McAlister on the leg during the final match of last season.
Meanwhile, Belgian goalkeeper Logan Bailly was at Celtic's Lennoxtown training ground yesterday, with the 28-year-old expected to complete a £250,000 move from Leuven.
