PARTICK THISTLE have completed the signing of defender Gary Miller on a one-year deal.

The right-back has spent the last couple of weeks training with Alan Archibald's side after leaving St Johnstone at the end of the season.

He has done enough to win a contract at Firhill and has agreed terms on a deal until next summer as Archibald adds another player to his squad.

Miller, who made 25 appearances for the Saints last term, will look to fill the berth vacated by Stephen O'Donnell when he quit the Jags earlier this summer and clinched a move to Luton Town.

The 28-year-old follows Tomas Cerny and David Amoo into Firhill as Archibald continues his preparations for Thistle's third Premiership campaign.

The Jags host Wigan Athletic in pre-season action tomorrow night and will face Rotherham on Saturday before they kick-off the new season with a trip to Hamilton Accies on August 1.
