RANGERS will visit Ayr United in the second round of the Petrofac Training Cup, with the match likely to be played on Wednesday 19 August.
The midweek ties can take place on Tuesday 18 or the following day, and the latter is probable as the Ibrox club are away to Alloa in the Championship on Sunday 16.
Rangers began their Petrofac campaign with a 6-2 win over Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday, while Ayr enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Albion Rovers.
Livingston, the holders, face a visit to Queen of the South.
Falkirk, who have won the trophy four times, are at home to Peterhead.
