RANGERS will face Ayr United in the Petrofac Training Cup second round on Wednesday, August 18.
Mark Warburton's side set up the Honest Men clash with a 6-2 win over Hibernian at Easter Road in his first game in charge on Saturday.
And they will head to Somerset Park looking to continue their winning run against Ayr that saw them win four times in League One in the 2013/14 campaign.
