PARTICK THISTLE have completed a deal to sign striker Mathias Pogba.

SportTimes revealed on Sunday that the 24-year-old, the brother of France and Juventus star Paul, would be confirmed as a Jags player today and Thistle have now announced the deal.

Pogba, who will wear the number 99 jersey this term, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract with the club, with the option for a one-year extension.

He becomes the fifth signing of the summer for boss Alan Archibald and follows Tomas Cerny, Callum Booth, Gary Miller and David Amoo in making the move to Firhill.

The Guinea international scored two goals in 17 appearances for Crawley Town last season and could make his debut against Celtic this weekend.

Archibald has been on the lookout for attacking reinforcements throughout the summer after seeing Kallum Higginbotham join Premiership rivals Kilmarnock and Lyle Taylor clinch a deal with AFC Wimbledon after his second loan spell at Firhill expired at the end of the campaign.

Thistle kicked-off their third Premiership season with a 0-0 draw against Hamilton Accies on Saturday.
