Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has revealed that the club have rejected a reported £12million offer from Middlesbrough for Scotland striker Jordan Rhodes.
The 25-year-old had asked for talks with 'Boro after a bid was made for him, but the Ewood Park club have rebuffed the approach.
"Yes, Middlesbrough have been in touch," Bowyer said.
"I think they've put some figures to our owners.
"Fortunately for myself and the rest of the lads, and of course our supporters, that bid has been rejected.
"He's been the subject of speculation in the whole two years I've been in charge and he's always dealt with it very well.
"He doesn't get affected by it and continues to do his job ever so well."
Rhodes was left out of Gordon Strachan's national squad for June's qualifier against the Republic of Ireland despite grabbing 21 goals in last season's Championship.
