Glasgow City remain at the top of the SWPL on goal difference after a thumping 7-0 win over Rangers at the Excelsior Stadium, writes Graham Semple.
Clare Shine opened the floodgates after 28 minutes with a neat volleyed finish and immediately before half-time Jo Love fired home an unstoppable second.
City’s domination continued into the second period and Kerry Montgomery and Susan Fairlie both got their name on the scoresheet before Julie Fleeting bagged her first two goals for the club.
City boss Scott Booth said, "I am really happy we managed to get a good few goals and a clean sheet and it was comfortable in the end. In the first half Rangers did cause us a few problems on the break and at times I thought we were a little bit sloppy early on with our passing, but we got better and in the second half improved a lot."
City are back in action next week away from home and and will take on Celtic at K Park in East Kilbride.
