CELTIC'S Europa League opponents Molde have called in police after their star striker Mushaga Bakenga received death threats.
The Norwegian champions started their European campaign in superb fashion with a brilliant 3-1 win in Istanbul against Fenerbahce.
But they were at the centre of an unpleasant incident during their weekend match against rivals Rosenborg.
An Instagram page was set up called Kill Bakenga and he was also assaulted with missiles by Rosenborg fans when he warmed up before the game.
Molde called in the police and Rosenborg have apologised to Bakenga - who used to play for them before moving to Brugge in a £2 million deal in 2012.
Bakenga said: "It's embarrassing and stupid.
"If they want to sing that I am a pig and garbage, then that's up to them, but this is different.
"I'm still alive so their threat didn't work.
"There are a lot of weird people in the world. You just have to pray for them and hope things turn around in their head."
