GLASGOW City will have to put the celebrations on hold if they beat Hibs at Albyn Park tomorrow - and not just because they have a Champions League tie against Chelsea on Thursday night.

A win would put City six points ahead of Hibs with just two SWPL games remaining.

But despite also having a huge goal difference advantage, City couldn't technically claim a ninth successive title.

City face a daunting run of five games in 15 games which head coach Scott Booth says reminds him of his days as a player with Borussia Dortmund.

The Chelsea game is followed by a Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers less than 72 hours later.

The following Wednesday City host Chelsea in the Champions League second leg and the series is wrapped up with a league game against Aberdeen a fortnight tomorrow.

"The last time I was faced with a schedule like this was probably when I was at Dortmund and we were involved with Champions League and Bundesliga games," Booth admitted.

"With the games are coming up thick and fast we have to stay focused."

The previous two league games between the sides, with City having home advantage on both occasions, ended in thrilling 3-3 draws. Hibs' only blip, and one which looks like costing them dearly, was an unexpected 3-0 loss to Aberdeen last month.

Otherwise both clubs have gone through the season undefeated.

Loan signing Rachel Corsie will join up with the squad tomorrow (sun) after flying in from the United States but is unlikely to play against Hibs. Her club, Seattle Reign, lost the NWSL Championship final 1-0 to FC Kansas City on Thursday night.
