BRAEHEAD CLAN managed to halt a five-game losing streak last night with an overtime win in Coventry.

Ryan Finnerty's team have been on a poor run that has seen them, even at this early stage of the campaign, badly off the pace.

That form led forward Tristan Harper to confess to SportTimes that Saturday night's trip to Murrayfield was a must win tie.

As it transpired, Clan crumbled in a dismal 6-2 hammering away to the Edinburgh Capitals on league duty.

However, while Braehead fans were left hunting for the panic button in the wake of their fifth defeat in a row, their team managed to turn things around last night in the SkyDome against the Blaze.

Both sides started physically and it was barely seven minutes in when an incident kicked off that saw Coventry’s Boris Valabik and Clan's Marcus Gotz end their night thanks to a game misconduct penalty.
