JOHN GILLIGAN is confident Rangers will remain on the road to recovery with the help of the Light Blue legions.

The Ibrox director and Managing Director Stewart Robertson attended the Rangers Supporters Trust AGM last Friday evening to answer questions from fans.

And Gilligan has been pleased with the backing the Gers board have received in recent months as they continue to rebuilding job on and off the park at Ibrox.

He told rangers.co.uk: “On Saturday evening I chaired the Rangers Rally Dinner organised by the Rangers Supporters Association in the Thornton Suite and my thanks goes to John MacMillan for inviting me to do this. We were joined by David Weir, Kenny Miller, James Tavernier and John Brown.

“It was a marvellous evening and the return of The Rally is another step forward but over the next few years we hope to see The Rally grow in size as we return to the top flight.

“As I said on Friday, we face many challenges at our club but with the trust and patience of our support, we will continue to take the club forward, step by step, day by day until we win our 55th title and consolidate our World Record.”
