Queen's Park took their place in the last four by holding off Elgin City 2-1 at Hampden, again laying the foundations before the interval.
Gus MacPherson's side took just two minutes to get in front when John Carter netted after Elgin had failed to properly clear a corner-kick.
The home side dominated the first half and it was no surprise when Chris Duggan doubled their advantage with a neat finish from Tony Ralston's cross after 18 minutes.
Elgin changed it at half-time and introduced Craig Gunn and Mark Nicolson to give them more firepower and the move paid immediate dividends.
Darryl McHardy pulled a goal back with a 12-yard shot and Kyle MacLeod almost levelled the scores shortly afterwards but his header was cleared off the line by Bryan Wharton.
But Queen's Park came close to a third goal when Vinnie Berry's netbound shot was turned onto a post by Mark Hurst.
McHardy headed over the crossbar in injury-time much to the home side's relief.
