ALEX MACDONALD is confident complacency won’t creep in at Ibrox as Rangers look to continue their stunning start to the season.

Mark Warburton’s side rounded off the first quarter of the campaign with a 3-1 win over Falkirk last time out and are nine points clear at the top of the Championship standings.

The visit of Queen of the South this weekend is next on the Gers’ agenda as they look to make it ten wins out of ten games in the second tier so far this term.

With trips to St Mirren and Hibernian also coming up in the next few weeks, Rangers are entering a crucial stage of the title race as they look to pull away and motor towards a Premiership place.

And former Ibrox star MacDonald reckons there is no danger of Warburton’s side taking their foot off the gas any time soon.

He said: “They are playing really well, the movement is brilliant and there is a real feel good factor for the supporters.

“They can’t wait for the games to come around now and they are creating a tremendous atmosphere. Ibrox is buzzing again.

“The team is doing brilliantly and everyone is playing their part. It is great to see.

“It is everything that a supporter wants. They want to see you playing well, scoring goals and winning games every week.

“They are well on the right course but you have to keep taking it one game at a time. You can’t look too far forward.

“You have to look at the next game and look to keep entertaining the fans.

“They don’t look as if they will become complacent. They are obviously working hard and they will have made the most of their rest over the last few days.

“Everybody is keen to get back playing and I am sure they will be buzzing on Saturday.

“The manager has the right mentality and he knows what he is doing.”
