A Berwick Rangers player has angered Rangers fans by suggesting Nathan Oduwa deserved the shocking challenge that left him in agony at Ibrox.
Oduwa, who is on-loan from Spurs, was injured after a horrendous challenge by Kieran Gibbons during Rangers Petrofac Cup clash against Livingston.
Berwick striker Andy Russell has now branded Oduwa a clown on Twitter.
He tweeted: “To be fair if Oduwa comes up here acting the big man and playing the clown he’ll be treated like that.”
The tweet has since been deleted and Russell has now made his account private.
Rangers fans have now hit back at Russell on Twitter.
The only clown is you @Andy_russell_93 No wonder you're hiding pic.twitter.com/JuI3yXvnJV

@Andy_russell_93 Not acting a clown, just a skilful player trying to make a name for himself, shocking treatment from Livi players

@Andy_russell_93 acting the big man? Playing the clown? Just because he's a better footballer he deserves to have his ankle snapped?Really?
