IAN DURRANT reckons Mark Warburton’s high standards and demands for improvement will be the foundations upon which a Premiership challenge are built for Rangers.
The 53-year-old has made an impressive impact since being appointed Light Blues boss this summer alongside Ibrox legend David Weir.
Durrant told SportTimes: “He has come in and put in a blue print of how he wants the game played and we follow that through all the age groups. That is his plan and we are all enjoying it.
“It is an expansive way of playing, the teams have been a joy to watch this season and everyone is buying into it. It has been a breath of fresh air.
“He sets high standards, the manager. Alongside Davie, he has been great.
“They want to achieve as much as they can. Everyone knows that they need to be at their best.
“He doesn’t like slacking, he doesn’t like you taking your foot off the pedal. His demands are high.
“That is running through all the teams and everyone has bought into it to make sure we are the best and achieve as much as we can.
“The Old Firm jobs are two of the most stressful and strenuous going about but the manager has come in and handled it great. He knows there is a lot of hard work again.
“Hopefully we can get out of this division and then we will regroup and go again for the next division.
