SPANISH SQUEEZE can take another step up the ladder by landing the 32Red.com Wild Flower Stakes at Kempton.

Hugo Palmer has always had a good opinion of this three-year-old and he looks open to plenty of improvement as he will be making just his fifth career start in this Listed event.

Spanish Squeeze was third in a Newmarket maiden on his debut last year and the form of that has worked out spectacularly well with two-thirds of the field having wins on their records while the first and second have made their marks in Pattern company this term.

Palmer's charge went on to lift a Kempton maiden last October before reappearing in a Listed heat at Lingfield back in April, when he just took too long to get going when finishing fourth.

The son of Lope De Vega did not emerge again until earlier this month - during which time he had been gelded - when he went down by just a nose in a competitive handicap at Chelmsford.

He looked a likely winner at one stage but a lack of race fitness just probably told in the dying strides and he should make significant progress from that outing.

Spanish Squeeze has a bit to find with Fire Fighting and Hamelin on the official ratings but he is expected to find the necessary improvement.

While Spanish Squeeze takes a step up, Rivellino drops back in company for the 32Red Casino Handicap.

He was last seen finishing fifth behind French raider Goken at Listed level earlier this month, after turning in an excellent performance when third in the Stewards' Cup and a fair effort in the Ayr Gold Cup on the turf over the summer.

Rivellino appears to excel on the all-weather though, having done all his winning on artificial surfaces, and given he is rated 3lb lower now than earlier in the season, he could have been well placed by Karl Burke.

Man Of Harlech was last seen finishing fourth in the Cambridgeshire and a repeat of that performance can see him defy top weight in the Coral Handicap at Lingfield.

A half-brother to a handful of useful types, the four-year-old has developed into a consistent contender this season, with his minor honours at Newmarket providing a particular highlight.

That counts as a personal best but it is no surprise to see him step up in trip a little and his style of racing suggests the 10 furlongs is well within his compass.

Blue Fashion catches the eye as he is primed to make his fencing bow in the Watch Racing UK On 3 Devices Beginners' Chase at Wetherby.

Fourth at Grade One level when trained in France, the six-year-old chased home More Of That on his British hurdles bow in November 2013 but was then off the track for a year before lining up against Faugheen at Ascot.

Getting 4lb from that rival, he finished just under four lengths adrift prompting Nicky Henderson to try his chances in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham and the Stayers' Hurdle at Aintree.

Both tasks proved beyond him and while he has to prove he stays the three-mile trip he tackles here, connections clearly have plenty of faith in his stamina and he could be a class act in the novice ranks this term.

Spa Hill should find the drop back in trip combined with soft ground to his liking as he tackles the George Rogers Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell.

He showed his best form on deep ground in Ireland and the sound surfaces he has encountered since his transfer to Britain have probably not brought out the best in Richard Woollacott's charge.

Three miles and a furlong seemed too much of a test for him last time but this two-mile-three-furlong trip should be a more suitable task.
