SIX-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy returned to the velodrome that bears his name as he led out the parade lap for youngsters racing in the HOY Future Stars competition.
Sir Chris, 39, retired from competitive cycling in 2013, but was a special guest at the Revolution Series which took place in Glasgow this weekend.
The elite cycling event saw the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome welcome a star-studded line-up including double Olympic champion Laura Trott and reigning triple European gold medallist Katie Archibald.
But once round the track was enough for Sir Chris, who has since turned his attention to motor racing alongside developing his HOY bike range and a clothing line.
"I'll leave it to the guys that are competing," he joked. "But who knows – maybe next year."
