MARK WARBURTON is delighted to see Jason Holt thriving under the Ibrox spotlight after he continued his impressive start to the season on Saturday.
The former Hearts star has quickly established himself as a first team regular for the Light Blues this season and is amongst top performers for the Championship leaders this term.
And boss Warburton is confident Holt can continue to shine and prove his worth for the Gers in the coming weeks and months.
He said: "We knew he'd technical ability, we knew that from the first day in training.
“He's well-liked about the place, great character around the place. His forward runs and his awareness has been outstanding.
“He's been first-class, a consistent performer and I'm delighted with his contribution.
“You can do all the research in the world but when they walk out in front of 50,000 people and the first two passes go astray they have to have the character.
“Crowds are crowds, they turn quickly. We knew Jason had the ability but we were unsure how he'd deal with Ibrox.
“But he thrives on it. I can't speak highly enough of him.
“You have seen the level of performance he is delivering week in, week out. His consistency of performance is really good.
“He is getting goals, he is getting into forward areas and he is assisting with goals. As an attacking midfield player, you want goals and you want assists.
“He is doing everything I have asked of him, and more. He is adding value all over the park and off the park. I can’t speak highly enough of it.”
