Celtic will be hauled into the Uefa dock next Wednesday after a flare was set off by Hoops supporters during the club's 1-1 Europa League draw with Fenerbahce on Thursday night.
The governing body have confirmed that the club will be charged with contravening article 16 of the disciplinary regulations following the incident in Istanbul.
And it is likely that the club will be fined for this latest incident involving flares.
It is the fourth time the club have been in trouble with Uefa this year after being fined for crowd disturbances against Dinamo Zagreb before facing penalties for on-field indiscretions against Inter Milan as well as the use of flares among supporters.
Uefa have previously threatened to partially close a section of Celtic Park for European games if the use of pyrotechnics from fans continued.
