Scott Fox (8) – Bravely blocked at the feet of Bitton and Sviatchenko as Celtic just before the interval and handling sure after early onslaught. Crucial penalty save from Griffiths and a wonderful save from the same player's deflected effort as Celtic threatened a late comeback.

Marcus Fraser (7) – Booked for a cynical block on Johansen just before half-time and hesitated when in good positions on a couple of occasions. Good defensively though.

Michael Gardyne (7) – Wonderful corner delivery for County’s second goal and always a willing outlet on the left. Clever use of the ball and disciplined going the other way too, setting up great late chance for Irvine.

Ian McShane (7) – Provided good screen in front of the Ross County backline, thwarting numerous breaks by Bitton and Johansen. Booked for cynical trip on Johansen the one time he threatened to get away from him.

Richard Foster (6) – Deployed at left-back. Played Griffiths onside for opener but regrouped and positional play got better as the match wore on. Was too often forced back onto his right foot when in possession, but solid enough display.

Andrew Davies (7) – Great reach to head the ball back to Quinn for his goal and solid throughout alongside his new defensive partner.

Stewart Murdoch – (3) Booked for trip on Tierney and hooked within the opening half an hour.

Alex Schalk (8) – Clever run resulted in challenge for penalty and a constant menace in the opening period. Got his rewards with cool finish for third before being replaced by Graham. Ran himself into the ground.

Martin Woods (8) – Despatched penalty for equaliser coolly and slipped a lovely ball through to Schalk for the crucial third. Threatened to lose his discipline after Celtic introduced Brown, and was booked for persistent fouling with ten minutes left.

Jackson Irvine (8) – Lovely flick set Schalk through to win the penalty and a constant driving force for his side. Should have scored late on but was denied by Gordon.

Paul Quinn (8) – Fascinating and physical duel with Griffiths throughout and kept his cool when it mattered most to head home County’s second. Struck up instant understanding with partner Davies.

Substitutes

Jonathan Franks (6) – Replaced Murdoch after 28 minutes and always made himself available on the right. Good battle with Tierney but use of the ball let him down on a few occasions.

Brian Graham (3) – On for Schalk with twenty minutes to go and was a bit unfortunate to concede penalty. Fox got him off the hook though.

Liam Boyce (3) – On for Gardyne late on but little time to make an impact.
