MARK WARBURTON hopes he can continue to get the best out of Kenny Miller as the veteran forward looks to play a key part in Rangers’ Championship title challenge.

The 36-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Light Blues so far this term and was handed another start as Warburton’s side beat Raith Rovers 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Miller was recently rewarded with a new deal to keep him at Ibrox until the end of next season and boss Warburton said: “I thought he was excellent on Saturday (against Falkirk) and I thought he was excellent again [on Tuesday].

“I am conscious of [the fact] that Kenny works so hard. I want to make sure the loading on Kenny is right.

"We talk a lot, David, Kenny and I, with (Head of Performance and Preparation) Craig Flannigan.

“If we can get the loading right on Kenny, he is a very valuable asset for us, there is no doubt about that.”
