Dundee manager Paul Hartley has urged his team not to underestimate Dumbarton in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round tie.

The Dark Blues travel to Ladbrokes Championship outfit Dumbarton strong favourites to overcome Stevie Aitken's side and reach the quarter-finals, but Hartley is taking nothing for granted.

"It's a big game," he said. "We want to send out as strong a team as possible so that we can get into the next round.

"That's what it's all about as far as we're concerned.

"We don't want to be making too many changes.

"From our point of view, we will respect Dumbarton as we did Falkirk in the previous round, which was a very tough tie.

"It's a difficult place to go to for a number of reasons.

"We have to make sure we're ready for it like any other game and we will be.

"There's a big incentive to get in to the last eight and that's all we're thinking about."

Dundee have been in decent form recently and Hartley hopes they can take that into the cup.

He said: "The cup is obviously different from the league.

"We've been doing okay but you can always do better.

"We did very well to come back against Motherwell last weekend and the players showed good spirit.

"We want to do as well as we can in the cup and this is getting our full attention."

New Spanish striker Arturo is in line for a start, having joined Dundee recently, but long-term absentee James McPake (knee) remains sidelined.
