Norwegian wonderkid Kristoffer Ajer is set to arrive in Glasgow tomorrow for a medical ahead of a summer move to Celtic according to reports in his homeland today.

Ajer, the Start and Norway Under-17 midfielder who is 6ft 5in tall, spent a week on trial at Celtic last month and impressed manager Ronny Deila and his coaching staff.

The player is just 17 and Deila has previously admitted that he would not be brought in to help his side in their remaining games of the 2015/16 campaign.

However, television stations in Norway are claiming that personal terms have been agreed between the promising teenager and Celtic as well as a fee between Start and the Scottish champions.

“He (Ajer) made a good impression," said Deila last month. But that’s something for the future, it’s not something that would make a big difference in the next half year.

“He did well, he’s a talented boy and we knew that. We were happy to get him here to train with us for a week and I think it was good for him too to see what we are about.

“But again this is not a player who would immediately be a big part of the Celtic first team. It can be also that he stays in Norway for half the season, also to finish school.

“We have to see the whole package. He would be a project. He is a '98 kid, so he’s very young."
