MICHAEL O’HALLORAN is confident Rangers can find a solution to their slump in form before they bid for Scottish Cup glory next month.

Mark Warburton’s side crashed to a 1-0 defeat to Livingston on Tuesday night as they turned in one of their worst performances of the campaign.

After clinching the Championship crown with victory over Dumbarton, Rangers had a double celebration at Hampden as they beat Peterhead in the Petrofac Training Cup final and then saw off Celtic on penalties.

But the aftermath of Old Firm triumph has been frustrating for Warburton as the Gers lost to Hibernian and were held by Alloa before their loss to the Lions.

Rangers round off their second tier fixture schedule with a trip to St Mirren on Sunday before they face a three week break and O’Halloran is determined the Light Blues will be back to their best for the Hibs showdown.

He said: “It's not the manager's style to lose the rag, but he's got that respect so when he tells us we all listen.

“But to be fair we knew ourselves it wasn't good enough or acceptable. He let us know in his way.

"I can't really put my finger on it. We'll have a discussion on it and we'll sort it out on the training pitch.

"I don't think we have taken our foot off the gas, but I don't actually know what the problem is. But we will go in and analyse it and discuss it among ourselves.

"Both the manager and the players have discussions. Even if we win we always go through it and look at the positives and what we've done negative. Obviously, there has been a few more negatives recently though.

"When you play for Rangers every game matters. That's the expectation of the club and the fans. We as players want to win every game and that will always be our aim."
