MARTYN WAGHORN has warned any potential Rangers recruits that they will have to fit into the Ibrox dressing room and not upset the Gers' squad harmony.

Boss Mark Warburton has completed deals for Matt Crooks, Josh Windass and Jordan Rossiter so far ahead of the new campaign.

Moves for Joey Barton and Croatian star Niko Kranjcar are still in the pipeline and several more new faces are expected this summer.

Midfielder Barton has had a controversial and at times explosive career south of the border as he has found himself in trouble on and off the park on several occasions.

And Waghorn knows it is important the tight-knit Gers squad remain a Light Blue band of brothers ahead of their crack at the Premiership title.

He said: “I guess so. It’s up the staff to keep a lid on it.

“He is coming in with a good group of lads and I don’t think we accept as a group of boys anybody being out of line.

“Everybody is entitled to their opinions, but we do things the right way.

“We tell each other if we are not happy and do it in a constructive way.

“If anyone crosses the line that’s when issues crop up, but we all know where we stand in this team.

“It’s on a professional level, it’s never personal and if you can get your boundaries and can take constructive criticism it’s alright. But once things start getting outside that you have issues.

“You never know. You hear stories in the paper and the press about what he has been like before.

“But you don’t know what he is like now until you are in and around it.

“He has not joined us, it’s not done, so we will wait and see.

“As I say he is a big character and very experienced so he could add something to the team.

“I think the way the club is under the gaffer you have to go by him in the way he is setting the rules and the standards. If you cross them you get found out. But that situation is not an issue here right now.”
