ALEX MCLEISH has ruled himself out of contention for the Hibs job with Alan Stubbs set to leave.

The former Rangers boss is believed to be a contender for the position along with the likes of John Hughes, John Collins and Neil Lennon.

But speaking to the Daily Record, the 57-year-old denied he could go back to the club he led between 1998 and 2001.

He said: “I heard about that but I wouldn’t want to come to back to manage in Scotland at this stage. England? Yes. But firefighting? Maybe not. I’ve done all that as well.
