MARK WARBURTON will continue contract talks with the Rangers board as he prepares his squad for a crack at the Premiership next term.
The Ibrox boss has held initial discussions with the Light Blues hierarchy over a fresh deal and returned to pre-season training at Murray Park at the weekend.
Warburton is just twelve months into the three-year deal he penned when he and assistant David Weir moved to Ibrox last summer.

The 53-year-old remains active in the transfer market ahead of the new campaign but will look to sit down with Gers chiefs to sort out his own future as well.
Warburton said: “The mystery is that I had three weeks off, of which I had 10 days in Florida, three days at home - three - and seven days at St George’s Park doing my Pro-Licence.
“I’m being nearly divorced by the missus but apart from that, that was my summer!
“I can’t control speculation. I can’t control the rumour-mongers. I do think it’s inappropriate that someone can’t have 10 days away.
“At the end of the process, I got away from Glasgow on May 25. I hadn’t seen the wife for seven weeks and I had to spend time with the family.
“The owner has been busy with a number of things to do with the club, doing great work - him and the Board.
“We opened discussions and I’m sure they’ll continue, but there’s nothing more mysterious than people being busy or having a summer break.
“I read contract talks have doubled my money. I read contract talks have broken down, contract talks were deep in discussion. Everyone was aware of things apart from me, and that’s the truth of it.
“You see these stories and they are quite bizarre. I’ve been linked with players I’ve never heard of.
“Apparently there have been players turning us down who I have never heard of, but if the fans want to believe that I can’t control it.
“But if they hear it from my lips or David Weir’s, or the owner’s or the Board, that’s different. But it’s all rumour-mongering.”
