LEE WALLACE reckons Rangers have made a summer statement of intent with the captures of three former Premier League stars.

Niko Kranjcar became the latest player to check-in to Ibrox on Thursday as he put pen-to-paper on a two-year-deal with Mark Warburton’s side.

The Croatian will link-up with Joey Barton and Clint Hill once again after spending time with the pair during a spell at Queen’s Park Rangers.

Former Accrington Stanley duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass and ex-Liverpool kid Jordan Rossiter have also signed on the dotted line in recent weeks.

And Ibrox skipper Wallace is confident the new Rangers recruits will help Warburton’s squad as sights are set on top flight glory next term.

He said: “Of course it is [a statement of intent], we all know the quality these guys possess.

“Certainly the deals that are looking to be done, we’re all aware of that and it’s exciting as a footballer to know that you are going to have that quality in there alongside you to help.

“I’m forever learning off Kenny [Miller] and I’m going to learn off the new lads coming in, there’s no doubt about that, and I’ll continue to learn under the manager and Davie (Weir).

“So the scope for learning, not just for me but for the younger players who managed to get a taste of it last season, it’s endless and it’s a thing that is going to happen every day, whether it be out on a training pitch, in the analysis room or when we are sitting eating in between sessions.

“That’s the most important thing, we are a very coachable group and I think we are very coachable within ourselves when we’re talking amongst each other.

“So these additions are going to be great, whether they are experienced or at the younger ages, we’re all going to move forward together and it’s exciting times.”
