STEFAN SCEPOVIC has left Celtic to join Spanish club Getafe on a four-year deal after a disappointing spell in Glasgow.

The striker arrived at Celtic Park on deadline day in September 2014 but struggled to break into the team and mustered only five goals in 26 appearances in a green and white shirt.

The Serbia international was loaned out to La Liga outfit Getafe last season, where he found the net six times before they were eventually relegated.

He has now joined the Madrid-based outfit permanently on a four-year contract two years before his deal in Glasgow was due to expire, with the fee reportedly around £1 million.

Scepovic joins Colin Kazim-Richards, Anthony Stokes and Carlton Cole in heading for the exit door since Brendan Rodgers took over as manager.
