The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow will host the opening round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in November.
The event, which takes place from November 4-6, will attract many of the world's best riders.
It kicks off the 2016/17 UCI Track Cycling World Cup series with racing to follow in Apeldoorn (Netherlands), Cali (Colombia) and Los Angeles (USA).
Glasgow last welcomed the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in November 2012 at the venue which also staged the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Tickets will go on general sale on July 19 with British Cycling members having access to an exclusive pre-sale period from July 14.
