Tom Rogic has bought into the Brendan Rodgers revolution at Celtic and is now desperate to make his mark at the club this season.

The Australian internationalist netted twice during the midweek 5-0 win over Motherwell in the BetFred League Cup and he is keen to continue in the same vein.

Rogic played a prominent part under Ronny Deila last season and is now looking to maintain a presence as Celtic look to rebuild under Rodgers.

"There is a buzz about the place and it is exciting,” he said. "We have exciting games coming up and we have made three quality signings so far and everybody has contributed. Whether we add one or two more then great but the squad is shaping up well.

"There is a lot of competition for places which is healthy.

"There is a positive vibe around the place. The manager has shaken the place up a bit and the players have reacted to that and so have the fans.

"The atmosphere has been fantastic at our matches and we are going to need that in games coming up. Everyone wants to impress the manager as with any new change at that kind of level.

"The manager having ties to the club has also seen the fans respond well to that I think you can see that in the way and the style of football that we are playing and it is still early days.”

Rogic was linked with a move to Leeds last season while Arsenal were also credited with keeping tabs on the midfielder.

Having committed his future to Celtic, Rogic is now looking to play a part in getting the club into the elite environment of the UEFA Champions league.

With reinforcements having arrived in the form of Kolo Toure, Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele, while Rodgers has also intimidated a desire for at least another couple before the window closes at the end of this month, Rogic believes Celtic are well equipped to qualify for a tournament they have missed out on for the last two successive seasons.

"Scott Sinclair was great on Sunday against Hearts and against Motherwell,” said Rogic. "It is important that players come in and do well as it doesn't always happen that simply.

"Moussa is now getting his goals which is great for him and the team. "Kolo is going to be a massive signing for us. His experience in the dressing room and the training ground alone everyday is invaluable.

"Kolo is someone who everyone can definitely learn from everyday. The manager has made some great signings so and they have definitely added to our squad. They have been signings of quality and that can only make us a better team.”
