MARK WARBURTON is pleased with the progress his side have made since their last outing against Motherwell as Rangers prepare to face the Steelmen for the second time this term.

The Light Blues were 2-0 winners in the Betfred Cup and will welcome Mark McGhee’s side to Ibrox this afternoon aiming to follow up their 2-1 success over Dundee last weekend with another Premiership triumph.

Boss Warburton said: “I think that game in July was too early for both teams, but I thought we created a lot of chances in that game too.

“We’ve worked hard this week too – we’re getting there, we’re working and we’re gelling as a team.

“We will respect the challenge, no doubt about that. They have good organisation, a really good work ethic, good individuals and quality individuals.

“We are in good shape, and we are looking forward to another packed Ibrox, a good playing surface and we have to deliver a performance, it’s the same every week.”
