CRAIG GORDON

Did really well to save the penalty but then was beaten at a corner for goodness knows how many times - and what was he doing at that second goal? Do you get the feeling he is about to lose his place in the team? 5

SAIDY JANKO

This might be the night which puts his Celtic career on hold – and that’s being kind. Was all over the place from the start, looked far too nervous and conceded a penalty. Had an absolute nightmare. 4

MIKAEL LUSTIG

Put in a decent shift at centre-back but that is not his position and so it’s hard to criticise him for being pulled out of position. He spent much of the first-half compensating for Janko. Worked ever so hard. 6

KOLO TOURE

Without being brilliant, no Celtic player was, he at least showed his experience in the nervous moments. It was the Ivorian who won headers and blocked shots. Was really strong as the game went on. 6Glasgow Times: Celtic's Kolo Toure has insisted that Celtic are ready to finish the job in Israel tomorrow night as they look to take the club into the group stages of the Champions League

KIERAN TIERNEY

A difficult night for the lad. The Hapoel players keeping running at him, he had two to deal with so often, and while he plugged away, he couldn’t stop every cross. Did get forward when maybe the plan should have been to stay back. 5

NIR BITTON

After a poor start, he gave the ball away three times, he did okay-ish. There were still some moments when a pass needed to be played, he delayed and the ball was with the Israelis. Has to do better in games like this. 5

SCOTT BROWN

The captain overtook Billy McNeill'ss record for Celtic appearances in European football tonight with his 70th match. It is doubtful whether any of the previous saw him chasing the ball so much. Toiled but never gave up. 6

JAMES FORREST

Not his night. It was the return of a player unsure of himself, who lost the ball too often and didn’t seem keen to ever try to beat his man. Shot wide in the first-half when he should have crossed. Hooked at half-time. 4

CALLUM MCGREGOR

The game utterly passes him by, it has to be said. Was picked because of his energy and ability to press, but neither was these traits was particularly in evidence. He needs to grow up. 5

SCOTT SINCLAIR

The one attacker who really showed up. The Englishman at least got the ball past defenders and while he is no natural defender, did get back and help out. But he did miss a good chance and at this level, that can't happen. 6

LEIGH GRIFFITHS

He looked so lonely. It was an unforgiving shift and while he ran his legs off, there was a sharpness missing in that he rarely got to a long ball first. In saying that he was up against two all the time. 5Glasgow Times: Hapoel Beer Sheva's Miguel Vitor, left, and Celtic's Leigh Griffiths fight for the ball during the Champions League qualifying playoffs second leg soccer match in Beersheba, Israel,Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016. SUBSTITUES

TOM ROGIC

At least he created on chance for Sinclair. Probably should have started. 5

MOUSSA DEMBELE

Went close with a chance and held the ball up - sometimes. 5

Erik Sviatchenko

Did well when he get on. Won a lot of headers and was calm in the middle of the storm. 6
