NIKO KRANJCAR is confident the Parkhead atmosphere won’t put Rangers off their stride this afternoon – because they are used to hearing the Ibrox roar.

The Croatian is one of several players that could make their Old Firm debuts against Celtic as Mark Warburton’s side make the trip across Glasgow.

It has been a mixed start to the season for the Gers as they have won two and drawn two in the Premiership in recent weeks.

Victory over Celtic would be a timely boost for the Light Blues as they set their sights on the top flight title this term.

And Kranjcar is determined Warburton’s side will revel in the atmosphere on derby day.

“Now, every minute of the game is so important,” he told RangersTV.

“You have seen it so many times, especially in derby games that are one-offs.

“I am sure there were derby games where one team was 2-0 up and didn’t win it at the end.

“It is important to start well, firstly for your confidence as a player because if you get the first couple of passes right you get into the rhythm of the game and you can continue playing at a good level.

“It is like any other game. If you play Motherwell at home, you have to start well and you have to get into the game.

“It won’t be any different. Yes, it is going to be loud and it is going to be noisy.

“But it is loud and noisy at Ibrox every single game we play, be it against Peterhead or against Hamilton.

“I think it is something that all of the players are used to. We are lucky that we have great support and once you start playing well they really get after you.

“You could see the emotion that ran through the stadium after we scored late against Motherwell to win the game.

“It won’t be that much different, in my opinion. I am sure we will give everything we have got, every single one of us and hopefully the result will come as well.”
