CELTIC'S trip to Ibrox to face Rangers on December 31 has been confirmed with a 12:15pm kick-off time.

The New Year's Eve clash will be broadcast live on Sky Sports for the second time this season after the Old Firm returned last Saturday.

Hoops striker Moussa Dembele scored a hat-trick as his side ran out 5-1 winners in their first meeting of the campaign.

The SPFL have also confirmed that the remaining TV selections up until the newly-implemented winter break will be published shortly.

Scottish Premiership action will be put on hold until January 28 following the Hogmanay fixtures, while a round of games on Christmas Eve has also been introduced for the 2016/17 season.

Celtic currently sit on top of the table with four wins from four, while Rangers are in third place having picked up eight points from their five matches so far.

The Gers welcome Ross County to Ibrox for the first time on Saturday, while Celtic travel to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Highlands a day later.
