ENGLISH football is a laughing stock in the aftermath of the situation with Sam Allardyce and the allegations that have come out regarding various people in the game south of the border over the last few days. Wherever there is money, there is always going to be corruption unfortunately.

But for different reasons we come into that same category here. The findings of the Judicial Panel set up by the SFA this week basically say that it doesn’t matter if thousands of fans come onto a pitch or attack players because there is nothing in the rules that allow the SFA to do anything.

If that is the case, the rules need to be looked at. It sends out the message to people that they can go on the park and have a go at managers and players because their club won’t get punished. This has set a really bad precedent.

Rangers have rightly had plenty to say in the aftermath of the Scottish Cup final and the fans are upset at how the riot has been dealt with by the authorities.

Everyone all around the world watched the pictures from Hampden and couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Now, I am sure they can’t believe what they are hearing after the judgement on Wednesday.

It sums up Scottish football to be honest. It is an absolute joke that it has come to this.

The rules will have to be looked at because there is no way that this situation can be allowed to happen again.

There are bad supporters at every club and every club has supporters that will cross the line of what is acceptable at a football match.

The fear is that they see this as a ‘well, if there is no punishment here then we can do what we like’. It just seems absolutely crazy and a cop out.
