MARK WARBURTON has accepted a one match ban after his outburst towards referee John Beaton at Pittodrie.
The Rangers boss was furious with the controversial call to award Aberdeen a free-kick for James Tavernier’s tackle on Jonny Hayes.
His frustration was compounded seconds later when James Maddison found the top corner with a superb strike to clinch a dramatic win for the Dons.
The Scottish FA offered Warburton a one match suspension on Wednesday and the Ibrox boss will now sit in the stand during the clash with Partick Thistle on Saturday.
Warburton said: “It is what it is. I can’t comment.
“I think I stand by the fact that both decisions that caused the frustration, I’m sure will be proven that I was correct.
“The offside was five yards onside – and the free-kick was never a free-kick. But it is what it is.
“I won’t appeal. You take your ban and move on. You just have to move on."
