Celtic are off to Dens Park tomorrow afternoon for a lunchtime kick-off and I don’t think there is any doubt that it can be tough sometimes to go into a game like that after the magnitude and glamour of a midweek Champions League game.

It will be interesting to see whether Brendan Rodgers looks to keep the momentum going by sticking with the same kind of team or whether or not he looks to freshen things up a little bit.

Certainly, though, they will look to maintain their strong domestic form before heading into the international break next week.

There is a fortnight now without domestic duties to attend to before the month starts to heat up with the critical Champions League games and then of course the semi-final of the Betfred League Cup against Rangers at Hampden.

You have to say that it has been a phenomenal start to the season. There is a real energy and enthusiasm about the club and the supporters are right to enjoy these times.

The international break should not break that momentum. The only concern in these situations is that because you have so many players away around the world that you can end up picking up one or two injuries.

The only real priority lies in hoping that everyone reports back to the club with a clean bill of health.
