MARK WARBURTON reckons Rangers showed a ‘gritty’ side to their play as they dug deep to see off Inverness on Friday night.
Kenny Miller netted the only goal of the game in the Highlands as the Light Blues returned to action after the international break with a crucial Premiership win.
Rangers have failed to turn their performances into points on several occasions this term and boss Warburton was satisfied with a job well done against Caley.
He said: “We talk about players being brave, brave to get on the ball, brave to move that one or two yards to receive it but also the bravery shown by the boys, heading, blocking and tackling etc. was outstanding.
“There was a real gritty side to the game and we have that in the squad.
“People talk about physicality and there is no lack of desire within that team and they are strong, quick athletes who have put in a very pleasing performance [on Friday night].”
