BORUSSIA Monchengladbach have been hit by a further injury blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Celtic.
Denmark centre-back Andreas Christensen has been ruled out of Wednesday's encounter in Glasgow after picking up a gluteal muscle injury during a goalless draw with Hamburg on Saturday.
The 20-year-old on-loan Chelsea defender has played 11 out of 12 games for Gladbach this season, only being rested for a domestic cup tie, and has also played four full games for Denmark, where he is a team-mate of Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko.

The German club confirmed the news on their website and also provided an update on forwards Raffael and Thorgan Hazard, who remain doubtful for the Celtic Park clash.
An article read: "Raffael and Thorgan Hazard were first to arrive early in the morning to spend some time on the training field with rehabilitation coach Andreas Bluhm.
"Both are on their way back to fitness and were able to do some individual practice with the ball.
"Whether or not they travel to Scotland with the rest of the squad for the Champions League match on Wednesday evening against Celtic will not be decided until Tuesday morning."
There was no mention of another injured forward, Swiss striker Josip Drmic, who looks set to miss the trip.
