Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon claims the pressure is mostly on Dundee United ahead of the Ladbrokes Championship top-of-the-table clash.

Hibs travel to Tannadice three points clear of United, who were seven adrift after the first four matches of the season.

Lennon is looking forward to a top-two contest but feels it means more to United.

The former Celtic and Bolton manager told Hibs TV: "It's been a while since I have done it but there's that anticipation it creates, and interest with the supporters. It creates a buzz.

"But we are not getting too involved with the hype of the game. It's been building up over the last couple of weeks. For me, it's just another game. It's not going to have a major impact on the outcome of the season.

"However, I think the pressure is on Dundee United more than it is on us, because they have to keep in touch with us.

"If they win the game, if, then we are still top of the league probably on goal difference. But if we win then all of a sudden there's a six-point gap."

Lennon, who is without injured midfielders John McGinn and Fraser Fyvie, added: "We have been top of the league for quite a while now and that's where we want to stay."

United boss Ray McKinnon had earlier claimed the pressure was on Hibs to get out the Championship at the third time of asking.

And he feels expectations of his side are lower given the transformation he needed to oversee when he took over at the relegated club in June.

"From our point of view it's about giving it everything we've got this season and matching our expectation levels," McKinnon said. "Get in the top four, get in the play-offs and get back in the Premiership.

"If we can win the league it would be a miracle given how we've had to turn the club around."
