Kilmarnock are just emerging from a run of games against the top four teams in the Ladbrokes Premiership but defender Will Boyle claims the big matches are yet to come.

Killie have played Hearts, Rangers and Celtic in their last four games and have Aberdeen to follow on Tuesday, but it is the teams nearer to the bottom of the table that Boyle is targeting as the big fixtures, starting with Dundee at Rugby Park on Saturday.

The on-loan Huddersfield centre-back said: "We've had a couple of big teams and tough opposition in the last few weeks. We have seven games in December, quite a lot of teams who are round and about us in the league, so it's a big period coming up.

"They are the big fixtures, what can be classed as the six-pointers."

Boyle made his first appearance in almost three months in the 1-0 defeat by Celtic last time out following injuries to Miles Addison and Jonathan Burn, and he is looking to build on an impressive display.

"Playing against a big team and big names, I felt I acquitted myself quite well," the 21-year-old said. "I had a bit of a spell out the team but I kept myself ready and I felt I did okay when I came in, so I will be looking to build on that now."
