GORDON (6): Will have been gutted to come out of the game having lost three goals; Gordon had gone unbeaten domestically since replacing Dorus De Vries against Kilmarnock at half-time all the way back in September.

LUSTIG (6): Got forward in support and has become one of the key

TOURE (5): Tough day for the veteran defender. Culpable at the opening two goals, Toure looked slow and cumbersome, in part perhaps to the fact he hadn’t played since the home game against Borussia Monchengladbach.

SIMUNOVIC (6): Lost Lionel Ainsworth at the back post as Motherwell netted their third goal from the restart after Celtic had levelled for the first time in the game. Too many holes and too much space between him and Toure that Motherwell exploited in the opening period.

IZAGUIRRE (4): Toiled desperately on the left flank. Hooked after just 30 minutes in what was a dispiriting afternoon for him.

FORREST (6): Had a key part in Celtic’s second goal when he set up Armstrong who went onto deliver the cross for Roberts to convert. Not quite the same standard that he showed in last week’s League Cup final but got better in the second period.

BROWN (8): Usual energetic self. A key figure in the middle of the park and then latterly when he dropped defensively deeper as Celtic committed men forward. Could perhaps consider himself fortunate to have escaped sanction for one late tackle in the centre circle on Moult in the second period.

ROGIC (8): Developing a knack for popping up with crucial goals. Netted his tenth goal of the season to equal his tally for last season and to give Celtic all three points.

ARMSTRONG (9): Excellent. Scored a goal, set two up. Worked his socks off in the middle of the park and never willing to give up. Covered every blade of grass as Celtic went in pursuit of a win that had looked beyond them at the interval.

ROBERTS (7): Netted a decent header to restore parity in the game for the first time but drifts in and out. Managed to get more into proceedings as the game went on and managed to find space for himself on a number of occasions.

DEMBELE (6): Has been off the boil for a few weeks now and possibly in need of a break. One uncharacteristic heavy touch when in the opening half when he was put through by Scott Brown and not quite showing the same sharpness of his early weeks in the season.

MCGREGOR (7): On for the struggling Izaguirre after just half an hour and made a real difference to Celtic , especially when they changed their shape after the break. Scored an impressive goal that sparked the come-back.

BITTON (2): On for the final minutes as Celtic saw the game out.

GAMBOA (2): Same as Bitton, on just to wind down the clock.
