MARK WARBURTON hopes Rangers can continue to rise to the occasion at Ibrox after back-to-back home wins against their nearest Premiership rivals.
The Light Blues have bounced back from their defeat at Tynecastle earlier this month with successive home victories against Aberdeen and Hearts.
Rob Kiernan and Barrie McKay were on target on Saturday as the Gers moved four points clear of the Dons in the top flight standings.
Rangers will host Inverness Caley Thistle and Old Firm rivals Celtic before the New Year and boss Warburton is grateful for the support his side have received from the stands.
He told RangersTV: “The backing, I always say, is never taken for granted. You have got to earn that 50,000 sell out.
“It is great when I hear Stewart comes by and says there is not a ticket to be had. That is music to our ears.
“The message to the players is that the fans believe in you and you have got to believe in yourself and you have got to send them home happy.
“It sounds a corny remark or a repetitive remark but it is not. It is very sincerely meant and that is our job.”
